Job summary

The role requires prior Utility Plant Operator experience, PA residency, ability to work 2:30 PM–10:30 PM, 40 hours weekly, and compliance with safety and criminal history requirements.

Qualifications

• One year of Utility Plant Operator 1 experience or equivalent in operation of utility plant systems.
• One year of semi-skilled work in operation, maintenance, or repair of industrial, commercial, or institutional utility plant systems.
• Equivalent combination including six months of semi-skilled work experience in operating, maintaining, or repairing utility plant systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate boilers and auxiliary equipment to maintain heat and hot water across the facility.
• Direct plant staff, assign work, and demonstrate proper methods to support smooth shift operations.
• Conduct systematic checks of equipment, document readings, and report abnormal conditions to supervisors.
• Maintain correct boiler water levels and perform daily chemical testing and treatment.
• Enter readings, complete preventive maintenance work orders, and maintain shift logs.
• Uphold all safety policies, regulations, laws, and procedures required in the utility plant power house.
