Job summary

Autism Center of Illinois is seeking a BCBA with strong supervision and leadership capabilities to join our clinical team in Illinois. You will oversee therapy services, mentor RBTs and trainees, and apply OBM and ABA best practices within a patient-centered program.

Responsibilities include maintaining a 100 billable hour monthly caseload, staff onboarding, community outreach, and coordinating site operations.

Qualifications

• Requires: Master’s degree in Psychology, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or related field.
• Must hold BCBA certification and active Illinois LBA.
• Prefer 3+ years post-certification experience with individuals aged 0-21 in classroom or 1:1 setting.
• Prefer 2+ years post-graduate experience managing masters-level clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a minimum caseload of 100 billable hours per month and perform duties in alignment with the BACB ethics code.
• Provide mentorship to RBTs, BCBAs, and trainees.
• Utilize the principles of Organizational Behavior Management (OBM).
• Assist with staff and client onboarding.
• Build and maintain relationships with the community, conducting in-services and outreach as needed, in collaboration with the clinical director.
• Coordinate maintenance and repairs as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Successful reference check

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Required: Master’s degree in Psychology, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or other related field.
• Required: Current BCBA certification and active Illinois LBA
• Preferred: Minimum 3 years of post-certification experience working with individuals aged 0-21 in a classroom or 1:1 setting; experience implementing and supervising the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis
• Preferred: Minimum 2 years post graduate experience managing masters-level clinicians

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to lift and carry clients with adaptive equipment.
• Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be willing and able to utilize quick body movements as indicated in the Behavior Intervention Plan in the course of working with children with challenging behavior.
• Must have manual dexterity to perform specific computer and electronic device functions for data collection.
• Must have reliable transportation and be willing and able to travel between different job sites.
• Must maintain professionalism as a representative of the standards of quality provided by the Autism Center.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Working knowledge of state and federal regulations as well as insurance and funding source requirements.
• Working knowledge of OBM and ABA best practices.
• Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with Autism Center staff, Autism Center administration, clients, collaborative professionals, supervisors, teachers, stakeholder clients, and clients.
• Responsible for completing and maintaining all required certifications and trainings once employed including, but not limited to CPR, Fingerprinting & Background Checks, BCBA Certification and other company trainings as directed by supervisor.
• Ability to interpret and implement clinical protocols and written clinical documents.
