Job summary

Quanta Manufacturing Fremont seeks a BIOS/UEFI Firmware Engineer to architect, design, and implement UEFI/BIOS firmware for computer systems. You will lead hardware bring-up, debug boot interactions, and collaborate with hardware, OS, and security teams to ensure secure, reliable initialization of DDR, PCIe, USB, and other interfaces.

The role requires strong C/C++ for embedded systems, UEFI (EDK2) expertise, and experience mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 2+ years of BIOS/UEFI firmware development experience with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of UEFI architecture (EDK2) and boot processes; familiarity with security features.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain UEFI/BIOS firmware using C and C++.
• Lead hardware bring-up and debugging of complex hardware-firmware interactions across CPU, memory, and peripherals.
• Mentor junior engineers, participate in code reviews, and produce technical documentation.
