Job summary

Emergent BioSolutions in Canton, MA is seeking a Lead Facilities Technician to safely operate and maintain site utilities, process and support equipment, including autoclaves, bioreactors, and purification skids.

This role requires strong MEP discipline expertise, ability to work independently, schedule work orders, train team members, and coordinate with vendors while adhering to cGMP, GDP, and environmental health standards.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in cGMP maintenance within a biopharma setting.
• Knowledge of critical utilities and pharmaceutical processing equipment.
• Demonstrated experience in all MEP disciplines.
• MA 2nd Class Fireman's Boiler Operator License.
• Proficient with GDP and good documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform Preventative and Corrective Maintenance on site facilities, utility, process and support systems.
• Maintain documentation in SAP/CMMS per cGMP standards.
• Train team members and coordinate with vendors during maintenance tasks.
• Review work orders, set up equipment, and ensure compliant completion of tasks.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and internal customers.
