Job summary

Goldbelt Frontier LLC seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician Lead to supervise BMETs, maintain records, write reports, and coordinate outside repairs. The role requires a two-year degree or higher in Medical Equipment Technology, strong schematics knowledge, and the ability to work independently on repairs and PM.

The Lead will ensure regulatory compliance, manage maintenance cycles for anesthesia machines, defibrillators, ventilators, imaging and lab devices, and serve as a mentor to BMET

Qualifications

• Be a graduate of the Department of Defense (DoD) Medical Equipment Repairers
• Be certified through the International Certification Commission as a Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET)
• Have earned an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Medical Equipment Technology
• Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in healthcare and/or medical research and mechanical maintenance operations.
• Experience leading and managing subordinate BMETs
• Has comprehensive knowledge of policies, practices, procedures, and types of equipment
• Ability to pass a background check
• Possess the ability to acquire a CAC
• Must be US citizen
• Willing to travel up to 25%
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations and coordinate support activities in collaboration with MMOD leadership and other departments
• Ensures that the biomedical equipment is in compliance with Federal, State, and/or applicable regulatory requirements; implements quality control standards and maintains budget and vendor relationships
• Provide advanced diagnostics, calibration, preventive maintenance, and life‑cycle support for a wide range of medical equipment, including anesthesia machines, defibrillators, ventilators, imaging systems, and laboratory devices
• Performs maintenance cycles, to include but not limited to calibrating, repairing, inspecting and overhauling military inventory of various types of medical equipment
• Performs technical inspections of new, used or reconditioned Army medical equipment
• Performs preventive maintenance and electrical safety testing of clinical equipment, devices and systems
• Determines associated support items of equipment in order to perform scheduled services and maintenance repairs and calibration; supply support and provisioning requirements; and training requirements
• Prepares necessary support documentation and purchase requisitions of parts
• Performs other related duties, as assigned or required
