Qualifications

• PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, mathematics, or related field.
• 9+ years of industry or academia experience in bioinformatics.
• 8+ years of experience in molecular diagnostics, medical device/IVD/LDT development, biotech, or life science.
• Demonstrated experience in developing statistical and quantitative methods.
• Demonstrated thought leader in bioinformatics, genomics, and/or next-generation sequencing (NGS).
• Demonstrated leadership in the area of product/assay research, design, or development.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and lead complex bioinformatics analyses across product areas.
• Provide data-driven insights and present results to senior management.
• Mentor junior bioinformatics scientists and guide project teams.
• Prepare technical documents and manuscripts for publications and IP.
• Identify process improvements and drive project objectives across teams.
• Collaborate across R&D and cross-functional groups to deliver diagnostics solutions.
