Job summary

National Jewish Health seeks a Bioinformatics Analyst III to lead advanced analyses of multi-omic datasets from the PRIMERO Birth Cohort Study. You will integrate molecular, genetic and clinical data to understand early-life origins of childhood asthma, including single-cell RNA sequencing, spatial transcriptomics and proteomics.

This is a fully computational role with cross-disciplinary collaboration. You will guide junior staff, develop innovative computational approaches, and contribute to

Qualifications

• Master of Science in bioinformatics, biostatistics or computer science or related field required.
• PhD in the computational field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads advanced bioinformatics projects and directs major programming efforts.
• Provides leadership for bioinformatics projects and teaches complex tools.
• Writes advanced scripts to access databases and analyze data.
• Directs sequence database searches (DNA/RNA/ protein) and computational analysis.
• Mentors junior staff and provides workflow direction to the team.
• Prepares data for use by other scientists and ensures reproducible research practices.
• Writes sections for reports and disseminates research methods and findings.
