Job summary

Lilly’s Protomer team seeks a lead biochemist for macrocyclic discovery in Pasadena, CA. The role focuses on assay development, protein binding, and leading projects from lead identification through optimization, collaborating across groups to advance macrocycle programs.

The candidate will advance in vitro biochemical assays (SPR/BLI, ELISA, FRET) and drive platform improvements, with travel minimal and on-site work required in Pasadena, CA.

Qualifications

• PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology, biology, chemical biology or related field with proven research success.
• At least 1 year of postdoctoral or industry experience in biochemistry/biophysics development.

Responsibilities

• Lead biochemist on macrocyclic discovery efforts and provide assay strategy for projects.
• Lead testing from identification to optimization and contribute to Phase 1 and beyond.
• Provide assay development expertise and support macrocyclic peptide discovery projects.
