Job summary

Texas A&M AgriLife is seeking a Bilingual Medical Assistant II for the Dallas clinic to support clinical and field research. The role requires delivering patient care, assisting with specimen collection, and ensuring HIPAA compliance while managing study procedures under supervision.

The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and Spanish, with a medical assistant credential, phlebotomy experience, and proficiency in REDCap, EMR systems, and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required and completion of a medical assistant training program.
• Three years of related experience is required.
• Current CPR/BLS/AED training and certification.
• Fluency in English and Spanish (verbal and written) with ability to translate between the two languages.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead medical assistant for clinical research activities and data collection.
• Perform vital signs, anthropometric measurements, and specimen collection per protocol.
• Maintain exam and data collection room cleanliness and inventory; monitor adherence to SOPs.
