Job summary

FINRA is seeking a Lead Software Engineer who will own the development of software products and drive quality across the SDLC. You will mentor other engineers, report to a Director or Senior Director, and influence cross-functional outcomes while aligning with FINRA’s mission of investor protection and market integrity.

The role requires strong CS fundamentals, expert system design, and extensive cloud/data experience, with a hybrid work model and opportunities to lead AI-adoption initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline with at least 7 years of related experience.
• Strong system design experience.
• Strong experience in object-oriented development.
• Strong experience with cloud technologies.
• Strong experience in data storage technologies.
• Strong experience in performance tuning and optimization.
• Strong experience in DevOps and CI/CD technologies.
• Strong experience test automation and unit testing.
• Strong experience software security.
