Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Staff BESS Structural Engineer to design structural systems and foundations for battery energy storage facilities. The role involves leading multidisciplinary teams, coordinating with EPC projects, and delivering critical energy infrastructure in a hybrid work setting.

You will leverage experience in structural analysis software, oversee drawings, and ensure compliance with engineering standards while supporting projects up to $50M in scope.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• Active PE license is preferred for leadership and project responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Execute structural analysis, calculations, and drawings for BESS equipment and energy infrastructure.
• Lead production teams and supervise engineers and technicians across US and overseas offices.
• Perform site visits, RFIs, and review contractor submittals during construction.
