Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Lead Behavioral Health Technician for our Detox and Residential facility. This role covers the third shift from 11:00pm to 7:30am, focusing on operations, supervision, and client engagement.

You will train and support the BHT team, escalate crises as needed, and ensure a safe, recovery-focused environment while upholding all policies and procedures. High school diploma or GED required; CPR preferred; driving license handy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily residential operations (intake, supervision, activities, transportation, meals, medications).
• Train and support BHT team in all operations and responsibilities.
• Escalate concerns or crises to Lead BHT and implement safety protocols.
• Maintain engaging, positive recovery environment and client morale.
• Ensure compliance with Avenues policies and procedures by staff and clients.

a Lead Behavioral Health Technician for our Detox and Residential treatment facility in Fort Wayne, IN.

Third Shift 11:00pm to 7:30am

What You’ll Do

• Manage all daily residential operations (i.e. Intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, medications etc.)
• Train and support BHT team in all operations and responsibilities
• Escalate any concerns or crises to Lead Behavioral Health Technician
• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm and positive recovery environment
• Ensure client and BHT compliance to all Avenues rules, policies and procedures

What We’re Looking For

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and CPR certification preferred
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Warm, empathetic personality with ability to set firm boundaries
• Dignified, honest character which models recovery principles
