Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Lead Behavioral Health Technician to oversee daily residential operations at our detox and residential treatment facility. You will manage intake, supervision, activities, transportation, meals, medications, and client engagement to foster a warm, recovery-focused environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification, and a personal commitment to recovery.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license and CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, empathetic personality with ability to set firm boundaries.
• Dignified, honest character which models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage all daily residential operations (i.e. Intake, supervision, events, transportation, food, services, medications, etc.).
• Train and support BHT team in all operations and responsibilities.
• Escalate any concerns or crises to Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm and positive recovery environment.
• Ensure client and BHT compliance to all Avenues rules, policies and procedures.
