Job summary

Sandstone Care is seeking a Sr. Mental Health Technician for a Cascade, CO teen residential treatment center. This full-time role features day shifts, 12.5-hour shifts over a 3-day work week, and compensation of $23.50 per hour plus benefits.

Responsibilities include client care, team leadership, meticulous documentation, and crisis intervention. Requirements include 3+ years in adolescent behavioral health, trauma-informed care, and a valid driver’s license for transporting clients in a

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working with adolescents in a behavioral health setting is REQUIRED
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Firm understanding of trauma-informed care
• Valid driver’s license with willingness to transport clients in a 15-passenger van

Responsibilities

• Client Care & Engagement: Support teens through daily activities, group therapy, recreation and skill-building exercises while ensuring safety.
• Team Leadership: Mentor Behavioral Health Technicians, assist with training new staff, ensure seamless communication during shift changes.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records of client behaviors and incidents, adhere to regulatory standards.
• Crisis Intervention: Use de-escalation techniques to respond to crises and help create safety plans.

Education

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field
