Job summary

Copa Health Inc. in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Lead BHT to supervise daily operations in assigned programs and ensure compliance with applicable rules under the Program Manager. The Lead BHT serves as the home leader, communicating clearly with staff to fulfill duties.

Responsibilities include informing staff of updates, monitoring billing, scheduling activities, and overseeing medication management while maintaining a safe, clean home environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Minimum HS diploma/GED and 2–3 years of relevant experience in a behavioral health setting.
• An Associate’s degree and 1–2 years of relevant experience in a behavioral health setting.
• A Bachelor’s degree (related or non-related) in the behavioral health field plus 1 year of relevant experience in behavioral health.
• Required to maintain a valid Arizona Driver’s License and are able to pass a motor vehicle screen for insurance purposes in order to transport clients.
• Experience in working with multi-cultural and low socio-economic individuals.
• Must be 21-years old.
• Must have a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety or eligible to receive within eight (8) weeks of hire.
• TB Test clearance required at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supports the program manager by informing BHTs of program updates and expectations.
• Pulls and reviews billed units report daily to ensure BHTs are meeting hourly billing requirements.
• Collaborates with Program Manager to identify BHTs meeting productivity and provide improvement plans.
• Creates a weekly activity schedule for BHTs to increase member engagement.
• Monitors and requests scorecard documents from clinical teams for each member monthly.
• Ensures maintenance and cleanliness of the home per department standards.
• Manages residents’ medications as applicable per program requirements.
