Job summary

MARK TWAIN HEALTH CARE DISTRICT is seeking a Behavioral Health Supervising Clinician in Valley Springs, CA. The role oversees delivery of high‑quality mental health services, guides a team of clinicians, and ensures compliance with clinical standards.

You will supervise staff, conduct clinical reviews, develop policies, collaborate across care teams, and provide direct assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for patients with behavioral health needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or related field from an accredited institution.
• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or related field from an accredited institution preferred.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, and meets BBS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a team of clinicians, providing guidance and development opportunities.
• Conduct regular clinical reviews and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Develop and implement clinical policies to improve patient care and operations.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive care plans.
• Provide direct clinical services including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
• Participate in community outreach and education initiatives.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation per legal/ethical standards.
• Lead staff meetings and case conferences to facilitate teamwork.
• Stay informed about latest developments in mental health practices.
