Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education seeks a Lead Behavior Specialist to join our Special Education team and guide behavior services across classrooms and schools. You will partner with school leadership and the VP of Behavior Services to implement schoolwide and individualized positive behavior supports.

The role emphasizes coaching, crisis management, and collaboration with instructional staff to promote safe, supportive learning environments for diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a closely related field.
• Valid OH state driver's license or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to obtain crisis management training certification.
• RBT credential preferred.
• Experience in behavioral instruction with children, preferably in special education or behavioral health.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching and hands-on support to staff implementing positive behavior programs.
• Train team on behavior intervention strategies and ABA methodologies.
• Assist with Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP).
• Coordinate behavior support activities aligned with individual student plans and goals.
• Develop data collection and progress monitoring systems; analyze behavioral data.
