Job summary

ALSO. is seeking a Battery Systems Engineer to own battery system architecture, modeling, and operating strategy for its next-gen EV platforms.

You will influence cell selection, charging strategy, pack design and thermal controls, working across battery engineering, vehicle architecture, controls, and product teams. You will build and validate models, define requirements, and ensure alignment with hardware teams for successful bring-up and deployment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years leading battery systems on a shipped product.

Responsibilities

• Own the analytical foundation behind the battery system and drive tradeoffs.
• Build and advance cell- and pack-level models to set targets and constraints.
• Define battery operating strategy, charging, degradation management and end-of-life.
• Own cell evaluation and data interpretation to inform pack constraints.
• Define system requirements including protection, thermal limits, and fault detection.
• Bridge analysis with hardware through test cases and bench/vehicle bring-up.
• Be an early, high-bar contributor to the battery engineering team.
