Job summary

Concorde Battery Corporation is seeking a Director of Engineering to provide technical leadership for manufacturing operations, process improvements, product development, and engineering projects.

The role focuses on leading projects end-to-end, optimizing lead-acid battery production, evaluating new materials and equipment, and collaborating with R&D, Quality, Operations, and Commercial teams to advance products and initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years engineering experience in lead-acid battery manufacturing or related field.
  • Experience leading projects from concept through implementation.
  • Experience with process optimization and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering projects from concept through implementation.
  • Serve as the technical lead for manufacturing processes, equipment, and product improvements.
  • Provide solutions for complex technical, manufacturing, and product-related issues.
  • Lead initiatives to optimize lead-acid battery manufacturing processes.
  • Evaluate new materials, manufacturing methods, technologies, and production equipment.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Operations, Quality, and Commercial teams on product enhancements and new product initiatives.
  • Investigate product failures and manufacturing non-conformances, conduct root cause analyses, and prepare technical reports.
  • Support customer technical requirements, audits, RFIs, and RFQs.
  • Maintain technical documentation, specifications, and engineering literature.
  • Support non-lead-acid battery development projects as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
