Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience working with Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC controls, or related systems in commercial environments.
• Strong working knowledge of BAS platforms, including system installation, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with industry communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues across mechanical, electrical, and controls components.
• Experience reading and interpreting control drawings, wiring diagrams, and construction documents.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in the field while also supporting and mentoring junior technicians.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Solid organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation, reporting, and project execution.
• Comfortable using laptops, software tools, and diagnostic equipment in the field.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead technician in the Tampa market, supporting project execution and field operations Install, program, troubleshoot, and maintain building automation systems.
• Work with HVAC controls, energy management systems, and commercial equipment.
• Support and mentor junior technicians as the team grows.
• Partner with project managers and leadership to ensure successful project delivery.
