Job summary

Jobot is seeking a BAS Programming Manager in San Jose, CA to lead a team of BAS Programming Engineers and oversee the technical execution of complex HVAC projects. You will guide programming, startup, commissioning, and project turnover in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has extensive Automated Logic (ALC) experience, strong HVAC controls knowledge, and proven leadership capabilities to mentor engineers and ensure high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in building automation or HVAC controls environments.
• At least 5 years of direct experience with Automated Logic (ALC) control systems.
• Advanced knowledge of BAS/DDC programming, HVAC systems, and control sequences.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or supervising technical engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of BAS Programming Engineers.
• Oversee BAS/DDC programming, control sequences, system graphics, and integration activities.
• Provide advanced technical support for Automated Logic (ALC) systems.
• Review programming deliverables to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with project specifications.
• Establish and maintain programming standards, engineering procedures, and quality control practices.
• Assign engineering resources, manage workloads, and monitor project schedules and deliverables.
• Collaborate with project managers, design engineers, sales teams, and field technicians to ensure successful project execution.
• Troubleshoot complex HVAC controls and integration issues.
• Support system startup, functional testing, commissioning, and project turnover.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and professional development of engineering personnel.
