Job summary

The Lead Bartender at the Jasper Hotel in Fargo, ND, reports to the Restaurant General Manager and leads the bar team with professionalism and hospitality. You mentor bartenders, ensure safety, expert beverage knowledge, and contribute to seasonal menus.

Evenings and weekends are required. Pay is $15/hr + tips, with a focus on consistency, guest connections, and high standards of service across the F&B team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience as a bartender in a bar or hotel restaurant.
• TiPS Alcohol service certification and SafeStaff or equivalent (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
• Fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally

Responsibilities

• Lead by example, setting tone for impeccable service and efficiency.
• Be an ambassador of the Jasper Hotel, sharing cocktail stories and local culture.
• Provide knowledgeable drink recommendations and ensure safe, responsible service.
• Train and mentor bartenders, maintain bar checklists and daily procedures.
• Collaborate on seasonal menus and inventory planning.
• Uphold cleanliness, organization, and guest-focused service at all times.
