Job summary

Marcus Hotels & Resorts’ Hilton Milwaukee Monarch Lounge is seeking a dedicated Monarch Lounge Lead Bartender to deliver exceptional beverage service in an elevated, art-deco setting. You will manage daily bar operations, craft cocktails, and greet guests with polished hospitality.

This full-time, union position offers weekend shifts, a starting pay of $19.03 per hour, meal benefits, staff discounts, free parking, and opportunities to advance across Marcus properties.

Qualifications

• Two years of bartending or bar service experience in a fine dining outlet.
• Must be available to work weekend nights.
• Excellent communication skills and familiarity with the hospitality industry.
• High level knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer with ability to recite vintages and regions.
• Bartending certificate required. TIPS certification required.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, checks, and portions.
• Proficient in English for guest communication and orders.
• Manual dexterity for garnishes, glassware, and bottle handling.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock the bar daily with beer, wine, spirits, and supplies.
• Maintain stock and prep garnishes, juices, and perishables.
• Greet guests, take orders, mix drinks, garnish, and present drinks per recipes.
• Serve food at the bar and assist at tables when needed.
• Understand the menu, wine list, ingredients, preparation, and service.
• Use POS and manage bar inventory; handle cash and checks.
