Job summary

Aramark is seeking a bar staff member in Houston who will deliver hospitality from seating to closing, with strong product knowledge and service excellence. You will handle alcohol responsibly, manage cash, and support bar operations during events and busy service periods.

The role requires a minimum of two years of full-service bartending experience, TIPS certification, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years full service bartending experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of sophisticated mixed drink recipes and POS systems.
• Must be TIPS certified.
• Good communication and social skills. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with emphasis on customer service, basic math and counting skills.
• Ability to pour mixed drinks and draft beer.
• Must be 18 years of age or older to ring alcoholic sales on a register.

Responsibilities

• Check patrons' identification to ensure minimum age requirements for alcohol.
• Prepare needed set-up for bar.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of the bar.
• Accurate cash sales and cash handling.
• Close out every check when paid.
• Assist in set-up/break-down of bar equipment.
• Serve and/or sell alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Maintain a cheerful demeanor on duty.
• Inventory bar items and initial bar paperwork.
• Calculate cash at end of shift and return bank to cash room.
• Open/close duties as assigned by supervisor.
