16 On Center seeks a Lead Bartender for Bar Avant at Olly Olly Market in New York. You will guide the bar program, supervise the team, and ensure consistent quality and creativity in beverage execution while coordinating with food hall operations.

The role focuses on hospitality standards, cost control, and activations to drive revenue. You’ll open and close shifts, manage inventory, and partner with private events to deliver guest‑focused experiences.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of bartending experience in high-volume or craft environments.
• Natural leader who mentors and develops the team.
• Strong communication across teams during service.
• Organized with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Mentor bar staff and guide the team to stay on task and improve skills.
• Maintain professional presence and uphold 16 On Center standards.
• Support food hall management and act as a resource for vendors.
• Lead opening/closing procedures and ensure SOPs are up to date.
• Collaborate with Private Events to execute activations and events.
• Balance bar profitability with menu trend adjustments and inventory control.
