Job summary

MGM Resorts International is seeking a Lead Barista for the Starbucks at Vdara in Las Vegas. You will support daily operations, lead a barista team, and ensure a welcoming dining area with warm hospitality and service excellence.

The role requires leadership, customer service focus, and knowledge of coffee offerings. The starting rate is $16.3932 per hour plus tips, with opportunities for growth and professional development within MGM Resorts' diverse hospitality portfolio.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 6+ Months of Prior Relevant Experience in a coffee shop, café, or specialty coffee environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and train a shift of approximately 3-12 employees.
• Knowledgeable in product offerings, selling techniques, and service delivery for menu items.
• Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise, refer matters to management and notify a supervisor and/or Security of unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.
• Process refunds and assist with operational support functions as assigned.
• Pack and complete orders according to guest preferences, ensuring all necessary condiments and accompaniments are included.
• Perform opening and closing duties based on shift assignment.
• Unload warehouse deliveries and stock designated storage areas while maintaining organization; replenish supplies and equipment as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance standards throughout the work area.
• Establish par levels for daily orders and complete daily order sheets.
