Job summary

Gimme! Coffee, Inc. seeks a Lead Barista for the CoCo cafe in Ithaca, NY. This role leads daily operations, mentors teammates, and ensures exceptional customer service and high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment.

The Lead Barista coordinates store activities, maintains cleanliness and organization, and supports the Store Manager with tasks, coaching, and performance improvements. Tue–Sat, 35–40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of specialty coffee barista experience.
• Supervisory or training experience preferred.
• NYC Food Handler’s Certificate within first 60 days of employment (NYC location).

Responsibilities

• Be a on-floor leader, modeling customer service, drink prep, store cleanliness, and teamwork.
• Coach and train staff; provide ongoing feedback and handle shift coverage.
• Assist Store Manager with inventory, banking, and store-wide initiatives.
• Ensure smooth daily operations and contribute to achieving store performance goals.
