You will partner with the Café Leader to maintain quality, hospitality, and efficient day-to-day operations. This full-time role requires strong communication, teamwork, flexibility, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds while keeping the cafe inviting and on-brand.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead cafe team and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Certified by Senior Corporate Trainer as Lead on espresso machine operations.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Willingness to work a full-time flexible schedule to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in leading the café customer experience and ensure excellence in product and service.

• Maintain food and beverage preparation standards per health regulations.
• Perform espresso drinks and latte art for the team.

Job description

Lucky Goat Coffee is a specialty coffee production roaster based out of Tallahassee, Florida and making waves nationally. Since opening in 2010, Lucky Goat Coffee has continued to remain focused on the expansion of the brand through exceptional customer interactions and company specialization. Today we operate throughout the Florida Panhandle, as well as our most recent expansion into Georgia, where we can share our passion for great coffee with more people.

Our Lead Barista focuses on providing an exceptional experience for our café customers through the creation of incredible drinks, impactful café experiences, and providing consistent leadership of the café team.

The Lead Barista position is responsible for partnering with the Café Leader to lead team members and the café in an efficient and profitable manner. This includes, but is not limited to: day to day store operations, quality control, fostering a positive community environment and ensuring consistent quick service with a focus on hospitality.

Requirements

Job Description

• Assist in leading the café customer experience. Ensuring all customers receive excellence in both product and services.
• Cultivate a café environment that is inviting, clean and mirrors the Lucky Goat Coffee brand image.
• Participate with the Café Leader to drive company promotions and events for cafe staff and customer base.
• Oversee cash handling and loss prevention processes including being able to perform all POS duties and maintain status of key carrier.
• Maintain high-quality standards of food and beverage preparation in accordance with Food Safety regulations.
• Perform espresso drink making and latte art creation duties for the café team.
• Assists the Café Leader in providing daily, consistent leadership to both opening and closing teams.
• Trained in ordering processes and assists Café Leader with purchasing.
• Ensure that cafes are always ready to meet the needs of their customers.
