Job description

Overview

It is the responsibility of the Lead Barista to provide efficient and courteous service to our guests while displaying leadership to baristas. The lead barista will provide training and technical guidance to new baristas. The lead barista fulfills any other duties the manager assigns. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).


Responsibilities

  • Organize pre-shift meetings.
  • Maintain uniform appearance according to established guidelines.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures and Health Department regulations.
  • Greet guests in a friendly and timely manner to take order for food and beverage items.
  • Use suggestive selling techniques.
  • Know all menu items.
  • Know locations of all Golden Nugget outlets and services available to the guests.
  • Responsible for obtaining, reconciling and returning cash bank at the beginning and end of shift.
  • Accurately input food and beverage orders into the Aloha system. Follow cash handling procedures and cash register policies.
  • Rotate and date all product
  • Thank guests, present checks and settle checks according to established procedures.
  • Always invite guests back to the outlet.
  • Assist with guest compliments and de-escalate situations.
  • Keep work area stocked with needed supplies, keep work area neat, clean and organized.
  • Fill pastry display as needed.
  • Prepare all coffee products as needed.
  • Follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating and storing all products.
  • Ensure assigned side work is complete
  • Assist with maintaining a neat, clean and safe working environment.

Qualifications

  • Knowledgeable of coffee products and specialty food items

  • Record of accomplishment in delivering exceptional guest or client experience

  • Effective communication skills

  • Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor

  • Available for various shifts including early morning, late nights, double shifts, occasional weekends, holidays, and long hours

  • Team Player with a guest first attitude

  • Minimum age is 21 years old
