Job summary

Kelley Drye & Warren LLP in New York seeks an experienced bankruptcy litigator to lead complex matters on the debtor or creditor side, including contested financing, sale and plan disputes, and appeals.

You will collaborate with clients and partners to develop strategy, supervise junior attorneys, and manage discovery and briefing through trial and potential appellate work. Hybrid work policy supports flexible scheduling while preserving in-person collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience as lead counsel or second chair in adversary proceedings or bankruptcy appeals.
• Substantial trial, deposition, and briefing experience.
• Familiarity with U.S. Bankruptcy Courts in NY, DE, NJ, and TX.
• Ability to manage case teams and supervise junior attorneys.

Responsibilities

• Lead bankruptcy litigation matters in federal courts as needed.
• Draft motions and appellate briefs for contested matters and appeals.
• Take and defend depositions; prepare witnesses for hearings and trial.
• Supervise junior attorneys and manage discovery and briefing workflows.
• Collaborate with clients and partners on case strategy and theory.
