Hinge is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team building the recommendation services powering our dating app. You will guide architecture, drive the roadmap, and ensure high availability and low latency at scale.

Work closely with ML engineers, data scientists, and product teams to balance personalization with reliability. You will hire, coach, and grow a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment in New York.

Qualificações

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with 4+ years in an engineering management role.
• Strong backend systems expertise with large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience with recommendation systems or ML-serving infrastructure.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 6-8 engineers building recommendation services.
• Partner with ML to productionize models with low-latency serving infrastructure.
• Own the technical roadmap for the recommender platform and improve reliability.
• Drive architecture decisions for recommendation and search infrastructure.
• Maintain engineering standards for code quality, testing, and incident response.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and cross-functional teams to deliver features.
• Manage hiring, performance reviews, and team culture.
