L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Lead Software Engineer (Backend/Integration) to guide secure back-end services supporting mission applications at Patrick Space Force Base, Melbourne, FL. The role requires strong Java, AWS, Docker, Linux, and CI/CD expertise and an ability to lead cross-functional teams onsite.

You will work with Agile teams to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable solutions in secure environments, with opportunities to influence architecture and technology choices.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering; relevant experience may substitute for degree.
• Active TS clearance with ability to obtain SCI.
• Experience with backend development, Java, AWS, Docker, Linux, CI/CD and AI-assisted development preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Develop secure and scalable back-end services and APIs to support mission applications.
• Apply software engineering best practices across the full development lifecycle, including code reviews, automated testing, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Deploy and maintain applications in AWS with emphasis on security, scalability, resilience, and cost-effectiveness.
• Engage with customers daily to refine requirements and improve functionality.
• Prepare and brief technical designs, implementation plans, roadmaps, and documentation.
