Truss is building a new insurance platform for a US specialty insurer. You’ll lead the backend, shape the data model, and build most of it with a small team. The work is fast and aided by AI coding tools, with regular demos to the client.

You’ll design a policy ledger, a configurable rating engine, and an event-driven background system with Celery, connecting to about 20 vendors. Expect a hands-on leadership role as the system goes live in early 2027 and the old data migrates safely.

Formación

• 7+ years of backend engineering experience, primarily in Python.
• Built systems from scratch and owned them in production.
• Experience with FastAPI, Celery, PostgreSQL, and cloud deployment.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD workflows.
• Strong English communication to interface with client weekly.

Responsabilidades

• Design the core policy ledger and audit trail.
• Build a configurable rating engine.
• Develop background tasks with Celery for billing and renewals.
• Create integration layer to ~20 external vendors.
• Migrate legacy data without data loss.
• Set standards, review code, keep team unblocked.
