Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Melbourne, FL (Patrick Space Force Base) seeks a Lead Software/Integration Engineer to drive backend services and mission-critical integrations for defense systems.

The role requires TS clearance, DoD-aligned practices, and hands-on leadership across software and infrastructure teams onsite. You'll work with Java, AWS, Docker, Linux, CI/CD, and AI-assisted development in a secure, high-stakes environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering with 9+ years of relevant experience; graduate degree with 7+ years; or 13+ years in lieu of degree.
• Active TS clearance with ability to obtain SCI.

Responsibilities

• Develop secure and scalable back-end services and application logic to support mission applications and workflows.
• Apply software engineering best practices across the full development lifecycle including code reviews, testing, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Deploy and maintain applications in AWS with emphasis on scalability, security, resilience, and cost-effectiveness.
• Engage with customers daily to refine requirements and improve functionality.
• Prepare and brief technical designs, implementation plans, roadmaps, and documentation.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation for system design and deployment procedures.
• Support Agile software development teams and participate in Scrum ceremonies.
• Build and deploy mission applications in classified or high-security environments.
