Job summary

Fractal is seeking an experienced Lead Azure Architect to design and deliver scalable data and AI platforms on Azure for client engagements in Dallas. You will translate business needs into robust cloud architectures and guide delivery teams across onsite and offshore members.

You will work with Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Databricks, Cosmos, and ML Ops on AKS, building cost-efficient solutions, enforcing standards, and producing reference architectures.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software/data architecture experience.
• Proven ability to translate requirements into Azure designs.
• Experience with ETL, data models, and dashboards.
• Experience deploying dashboards and analytics on relational and non-relational stores.
• Familiar with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks and MLOps.

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements into technical Azure designs.
• Define data and platform requirements with clients and stakeholders.
• Architect Azure solutions to meet functional and non-functional needs.
• Lead reference architectures and best practices.
• Prepare RFPs, RFIs, RFQs and respond to them.
• Oversee design and ensure modular, scalable codebase.
• Estimate effort and align stakeholders on schedule.
• Design, develop, and deliver data interfaces in ADF and Databricks.
• Deliver data models on Azure Cosmos, Synapse, or SQL.
• Advise on ML engineering and ML Ops at scale on AKS.
• Automate core activities to reduce delivery lead times.
• Optimize cost by choosing right services.
• Deploy Azure DevOps pipelines and CI/CD processes.
• Implement logging and monitoring for alerts.
