Job summary

Robots & Pencils is seeking a seasoned AWS AI Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of complex enterprise-grade generative AI systems on AWS. Architect scalable, secure AI platforms leveraging Bedrock, Bedrock AgentCore, and AWS AI services, translating ambiguity into structured architectures and validating designs through prototyping.

You will mentor engineers, drive governance, and guide multi‑team delivery across North America, delivering measurable business value through AWS

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering or cloud architecture with deep AWS ownership.
• Deep expertise with Bedrock and related AWS AI services.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and serverless patterns.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale AI platforms on AWS.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary AWS AI architecture partner for strategic clients, driving design from discovery through production.
• Lead architecture design using Bedrock, Bedrock AgentCore, AWS Strands Agents, and AgentCore Gateway.
• Design RAG and multi-agent orchestration leveraging Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Aurora, and OpenSearch.
• Produce reference architectures, ADRs, and implementation roadmaps aligned to business objectives.
• Validate feasibility via hands-on prototyping in Python using Bedrock SDKs and SageMaker.
