Job summary

AAR Corp is seeking an Alternate Lead Avionics Technician to assist the Lead Avionics Technician in providing airworthiness for aircraft upon maintenance completion at the facility.

The role requires 2+ years of aviation avionics experience, relevant FAA/Repairman/FCC/RMO certifications, and strong English communication. Candidates should demonstrate leadership, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Over 2+ years aviation avionics experience.
• FAA Airframe certification or Repairman Certificate, and FCC Certificate, or Radio Repairman Operator Certificate.
• Knowledge of FAA regulations including 14 CFR.
• Proven leadership abilities and reliable attendance.
• Takes initiative and plans work independently.
• Strong judgment and decision-making skills.
• Good time management and ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure.
• Fluent in English (speech, reading, writing).

Responsibilities

• Ensure work performed adheres to high quality standards.
• Ensure all equipment is properly used and safeguards are in place to protect aircraft and equipment.
