Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking a Lead Avionics Install Technician for the 2nd shift in Chattanooga, TN. You will lead a team of technicians to install and troubleshoot avionics systems, oversee work orders, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

This role requires strong knowledge of aircraft electrical/electronic/instrument systems and prior leadership experience. Compensation includes shift premium incentives, benefits effective on start, and opportunities for professional growth

Qualifications

8+ years experience on aircraft avionics installation, troubleshooting and maintenance.
2+ years of corporate aircraft experience.
Strong knowledge of aircraft electrical, electronic, and instrument systems.
Ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects.
Fluent English communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate installation projects including parts, services, manpower and supervision.
Troubleshoot and evaluate aircraft systems before and after modification.
Inspect aircraft and components and verify performance
Manage work orders, FAA forms, pricing and customer communication.
Supervise team members and direct project flow to meet deadlines.
Coordinate interdepartmental schedules and provide production support to managers.
Lead ground and flight test support as needed.
Mentor/train team members and ensure compliance with FAA guidelines.
