Job summary

Castelion Corporation is seeking a Lead Avionics Technician – Harnessing to lead hands-on harness fabrication and rework on the production floor in Torrance, CA. You will stay connected to the work, identify blockers early, and drive issues to resolution with cross-functional teams including Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Responsible Engineers, Planning, and the Avionics Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building aerospace or high-reliability wire harnesses.
• Experience with crimping, soldering, shielding, splicing, connector assembly, and harness routing.
• Strong understanding of drawings, wire lists, work instructions, and process specifications.
• Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 or similar workmanship standards.
• Experience with continuity testing, insulation resistance, hipot, or related electrical testing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily visibility of harness work in progress and upcoming work.
• Identify blockers and material shortages before they impact schedule.
• Take ownership of blockers and drive them to resolution with the right team.
• Communicate schedule risks early to Avionics Supervisor.
• Serve as the first technical point of contact for harness technicians.
• Support wire preparation, crimping, soldering, connector assembly, shielding, splicing, routing, sleeving, labeling, and final assembly.
• Help technicians interpret drawings, wire lists, and work instructions.
• Verify technicians are using the correct revision and released documentation.
• Coordinate with Quality for in-process and final inspections.
• Provide updates during daily stand-ups and production meetings.
• Maintain floor organization, safety, and workmanship standards.
