Job summary

Castelion seeks an Avionics Harness Design Engineer to lead the design, development, and integration of electrical harnessing across missile and vehicle systems. You will deliver robust, manufacturable, high-reliability wiring solutions in a fast-paced, hardware-rich environment.

This role involves partnering with avionics, power, structures, and propulsion teams to ensure proper integration and to maintain harness BOMs, supporting build and testing while upholding aerospace standards such as

Qualifications

Degree in electrical, mechanical, aerospace engineering or related field.
Experience designing cable harnesses for aerospace/defense or high-reliability hardware.
Proficiency with CAD/ECAD tools and harness documentation standards.

Responsibilities

Design, route, and document electrical harnesses for missile and vehicle systems.
Generate wiring diagrams, schematics, and harness drawings per aerospace standards.
Select wires, connectors, backshells, shielding to meet environmental requirements.
Collaborate with avionics, power, and structures teams for proper integration.
Develop and maintain harness BOMs and ensure manufacturability at scale.
Support harness build, installation, and testing during integration.
Ensure designs meet electrical, mechanical, and thermal requirements for high-reliability aerospace applications.
