Job summary

Voyager Lunar Systems in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Lead Electrical Hardware Engineer - Avionics to drive flight avionics hardware development across products. You will lead a skilled avionics team, mentor engineers, and collaborate on the product roadmap in a mission-driven, hybrid work environment.

The role reports to the Electronic Systems Manager and requires expertise in high-reliability aerospace electronics, hardware design, and testing to support space systems from ground to space.

Qualifications

• Experience in component/LRU electrical design.
• 6+ years of electronics hardware development.
• B.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Schematic and board design with Altium, Eagle, or OrCAD.
• Ability to mentor and lead small teams of engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of flight hardware avionics (computing, signal conditioning, control electronics).
• Manage daily operations, scheduling, and tasking for the avionics team.
• Provide technical and programmatic guidance to internal and external teams.
• Establish reviews for avionics products pre-release.
• Define internal processes for hardware design, testing, documentation.
• Drive rapid troubleshooting and resolution of electrical anomalies.
• Contribute to avionics product roadmap and R&D prioritization.
