Job summary

Uber is seeking a Lead Product Manager for Autonomous Vehicle Platforms to define how partner vehicles integrate with Uber's robotaxi stack. You will own vehicle platform requirements across hardware, embedded software, and interfaces, ensuring reliable operation at scale and guiding OEM partnerships.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience building and launching complex hardware or vehicle products from prototype through production.
• Experience working directly with OEMs and/or Tier 1 suppliers to define requirements and release schedules.
• Strong technical fluency in vehicle systems and architecture across mechanical, electrical, embedded, and software domains.
• Proven ability to independently own ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives and drive them from definition through execution.

Responsibilities

• Own the platform strategy and requirements for Autonomous Vehicle Platforms, defining vehicle support for reliable operation on Uber.
• Define and maintain minimum vehicle specifications across OEM partnerships and vehicle programs.
• Own evolving vehicle platform requirements across hardware, embedded software, interfaces, and core system architecture.
• Partner with business development and vehicle strategy teams to align on cost and capability trade-offs.
• Serve as the primary technical product representative in partner and OEM engagements.
• Drive trade-off decisions across cost, manufacturability, reliability, serviceability, scalability, and performance.
