Job summary

STRATTEC Security Corporation is seeking a Validation Engineer to work with Test Equipment Engineers, Product Team, AQE, QE and customers to interpret and develop product specifications, test methods and test plans for validating our automotive security systems. You will perform hands-on testing, train Test Lab staff, and collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines to ensure robust performance.

Qualifications

• Experience testing electronic boards, modules and test equipment.
• Solid knowledge of analog, power and digital electronics.
• Ability to read engineering prints, specs and test documents.
• Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.
• Able to work with diverse cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop procedures and tools for test, verification and certification of products.
• Coordinate testing activities and ensure calibration of test equipment.
• Review customer requirements and develop test plans (DVP&R).
• Lead test fixture design, procurement, construction, verification and runoff activities.
• Create and approve test reports and maintain measurement data archives.
• Provide training to Test Lab Technicians and support test quoting.
• Participate in root cause analysis and customer meetings.
• Travel to customers, suppliers and STRATTEC facilities as required.
