Job summary

Bridgestone America, Inc. in Nashville, Tennessee, seeks a Lead Technician with strong diagnostic and leadership skills to guide a shop team and deliver top-quality customer care.

You will diagnose drivability and electrical systems, mentor technicians, and ensure accurate explanations of repairs. The role offers competitive pay, ongoing training, and opportunities to earn ASE certifications.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Skilled in brakes diagnosis/repair.
• Skilled in alignment, steering & suspension diagnosis/repair.
• Skilled in general automotive maintenance & tire repair.
• Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
• Reading, writing and math skills.
• Strong understanding of electrical/electronic systems.
• ASE certification in at least 3 of A1-A8; L1 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications - brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension and A/C.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-technical customers clearly.
• Stay current with automotive technology through ongoing paid training.
• Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
• Obtain and maintain ASE certifications within 2 years; company covers tests.
