Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO), part of Bridgestone Americas, is seeking a Lead Technician in Livonia, MI to diagnose drivability and electrical systems while mentoring a team to improve customer care and satisfaction. The position offers a flat-rate pay model and opportunities for ASE certification alongside ongoing training.

The role requires ASE certifications preferably in multiple areas, valid driver's license, and strong diagnostic skills across brake, alignment, and electrical

Qualifications

• Must have experience diagnosing and repairing brakes.
• Skilled in alignment, steering and suspension diagnosis/repair.
• Proficient in general automotive maintenance and tire repair.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications - brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
• Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least five of A1 – A8 within first two years of employment, with company-paid tests.
