Job summary

BIG O TIRES - Monteverde Group is seeking an Automotive Lead Service Technician in San Francisco, CA. You will diagnose drivability and electrical systems, while leading a team to improve customer care and satisfaction.

Responsibilities include diagnosing to manufacturer specs, completing brake, electrical and A/C work, and mentoring peers. A valid driver’s license and 3–5 years of repair experience are required, with ASE certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and math skills required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass DMV requirements.
• 3–5 years of automotive repair experience or equivalent demonstrated skills.
• A.S.E. certification in at least 3 of A1–A8 required (with up to 2 years to comply for new hires).
• Maintains federal, state and local certification/license where applicable.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to manufacturing specifications.
• Brake and hydraulic repair experience, plus diagnostics, exhaust, troubleshooting.
• Fuel ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, air conditioning and computer systems work.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Lead vehicle inspections and mentor fellow technicians.
