Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) seeks a Lead Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems while guiding a team toward higher customer care. The role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and staying current with evolving automotive tech.

The position offers a competitive pay model with a $3,000 sign-on bonus for state inspection certification holders, and a pathway to ASE certifications through company-funded training.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Experience diagnosing brakes and suspension systems.
• Ability to explain technical diagnoses to non-technical people.
• Knowledge of automotive electrical and ignition systems is a plus.
• Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications—brakes, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension and A/C.
• Explain technical diagnoses and required repairs to customers.
• Pursue ongoing training to stay current with automotive technology.
• Assist and mentor technicians in performing technical tasks.
• Pursue ASE certifications (tests paid by company) and maintain at least five through first two years.
