Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) is hiring a Lead Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems and mentor a team toward better customer care. The role offers a flat-rate pay model reflecting regional productivity, with ASE certification encouragement and company-paid training.

Responsibilities include explaining diagnoses to customers, keeping pace with evolving automotive tech, and maintaining ASE certifications within two years.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Skilled in brakes diagnosis/repair.
• Experience with alignment/steering/suspension diagnosis/repair.
• Experience in general automotive maintenance and tire repair.
• Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
• Reading, writing and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications – brake, hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension and A/C.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers in clear terms.
• Stay current with automotive technology through ongoing paid training.
• Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
• Pursue ASE certification in at least five of A1–A8 within two years; test fees paid by company; bonus for tests passed.
