Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies is seeking an Automation Test Engineer III to design, build, and optimize automated testing infrastructure across enterprise systems. You will drive quality initiatives, mentor engineers, and collaborate with multiple teams to ensure scalable test automation practices.

Ideal candidates bring senior-level experience, Tosca expertise, and strong knowledge of Selenium/Playwright/Cypress, CI/CD, and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
• Expert-level proficiency in Tricentis Tosca, including test case design, test data management, and API testing.
• Strong experience with Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Proven experience leading QA initiatives and mentoring teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and implementation of enterprise-level automated testing frameworks using Tricentis Tosca and other tools.
• Define and enforce best practices for test automation, code quality, and test data management.
• Collaborate with DevOps to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior and mid-level QA engineers, and provide technical leadership.
• Analyze test coverage, identify gaps, and implement strategies to improve test effectiveness and efficiency.
• Partner with product and development teams to define test strategies for complex features and systems.

• Tricentis Tosca Automation Specialist Level 1, 2, and Test Design Specialist
• ISTQB Certified Tester – Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer
• Certified Agile Test Leader (CATL)
• Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
• Certified Jenkins Engineer (CJE)

Salary Range

$65,900.70 - $152,611.80. In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, this range represents a good‑faith estimate. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, credentials, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.

This role may be based out of any of our office locations, including: Parsippany, NJ; Conshohocken, PA; Wilkes‑Barre, PA; Alpharetta, GA.
