Job summary

Software Placement Group in Brown Deer, WI is seeking a Lead Automation Maintenance Technician to own automated production lines, robotic cells, and high-speed equipment in a direct-hire, on-site role.

You will diagnose electromechanical faults, work with Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLCs, and perform preventative maintenance using blueprints, schematics, and CMMS tools. The position offers three shifts with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in industrial maintenance on high-speed production equipment.
• Experience tracing faults on Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLCs.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with AC/DC systems up to 480V, VFDs, pneumatics, and robotics.
• Stable work history and strong safety record.
• Must live within 45 minutes of Greater Milwaukee area.
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair automated machinery and robotic cells to maintain peak output.
• Trace PLC faults, identify software/hardware issues, and clear stoppages.
• Perform emergency repairs and preventative maintenance per blueprints and diagrams.
• Service and optimize pneumatic valves, cylinders, and distribution lines.
• Work safely with 480V power systems and low-voltage control circuits.
• Do light structural welding and fabrication to modify equipment.
